  3. What is WINBOND?
  4.  
  5. WINBOND is a Windows application to track and valuate Series EE
  6. savings bonds. The program provides for mulitiple bond files if
  7. desired.  Several viewing options are available to view current
  8. bond values, interest earned and a special option to project bond
  9. values over the next 20 years starting with current actual bond
  10. value.  Owner information may be entered and reported if desired.
  11. Department of the Treasury tables are provided.  Sold bonds are
  12. also maintained if desired and interest earned history can be
  13. kept.  Capability to create ASCII report files or printed reports
  14. is provided, and these file can be printed or loaded in a word
  15. processor.

  17. An import function is provided to convert any current bond files to
  18. this programs' format from an ASCII file or report.  Bond redemption
  19. tables are provided as issued by the Department of the Treasury
  20. and these tables are updated every six months (the ability is
  21. provided to maintain these files yourself, if desired).

  23. This is a shareware program and once registered, all future updates
  24. including bond redemption tables can be obtained at no additional
  25. charge.  See Registration in on-line help for more information.
  26. All versions of the program will be upward compatible, meaning that
  27. all bond files created with earlier versions will compatible.

  37. INSTALLATION

  39. New Installation
  40.  
  41. To install the evaluation version of WINBOND, create a
  42. subdirectory and copy all the included files into this
  43. subdirectory. Copy the file VBRUN300.DLL, distributed separately,
  44. and available for free) to this same subdirectory.

  46. If you have other programs that require VBRUN300.DLL it is
  47. better to put a single copy in the Windows System subdirectory
  48. rather than have duplicates taking-up space on your hard
  49. drive.  GRID.VBX can also be put in this directory.

  51. Upgrade
  52.  
  53. Copy files into your current WINBOND directory.  GRID.VBX does not
  54. have to be copied since it will already exist in your system.
  55. VBRUN300.DLL must now be resident on your Windows system directory.

  58. STARTING WINBOND
  59.  
  60. To start WINBOND, you can simply double-click on
  61. WINBOND.EXE from the Windows File Manager, or define a new
  62. program item in the Program Manager. Once started, you can
  63. select HELP from the menu bar and gain access to all information
  64. for this program.

  67. WINBOND is Shareware, and a registration fee of $15.00 is
  68. required if used past the 30-day evaluation period. When payment
  69. is received you will receive a serialization number which you
  70. can enter in the program.  All future upgrades received and
  71. redemption table upgrades will be automatically registered with
  72. this code.  See the Registration section in the on-line help
  73. file for additional information on this subject.
